Pro design for aspiring racers.

Riding in desert-like heat requires gear that is able to keep you cool and dry and not weigh you down in the process. The Sugoi RS Pro Jersey features ultralight Gobi 3.0 fabric, which is specifically designed for hot weather riding.

Gobi 3.0 is an ultra-light polyester microfiber knit with a diamond-shaped structure. The structure works to pull moisture away from your skin to the surface where it quickly evaporates, and the open weave of the knit provides mesh-like breathability and ventilation. Mesh panels incorporated along the shoulders and underarms aid in cooling by allowing additional airflow. If that's still not enough, the full-length zipper is easily adjusted to suit your personal needs.

The Sugoi RS Pro Jersey is cut to fit while in a riding position. To that end, the sleeves are curved slightly forward to provide reach and finished with FinoTech, a form-fitting material that reduces drag. A silicone gripper at the hem keeps the jersey in place and three rear pockets hold all of your small riding gear — tubes, gels, keys, and the like.

Large and Long...

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I have a 44 inch chest and am 6'0" tall with 34 waist. Based on a recommendation I ordered this in an XXL, as it was supposed to be similar to Garneau. However, It fits more like anXXXL to me. It is big in the stomach, but not necessarily so much in the Chest. And, while I generally struggle with sizes not always being long enough, this one was TOO long. A LOT too long.

If this sizing chart is right (and they never seem to be), I'm going to order a regular XL and should be fine. I hope so anyway, because otherwise, the fabric is light and comfortable, it appears well made, and it should be cool in our Texas Heat. The only issue I found was the zipper at the bottom was very tight. Hopefully that will loosen up and become easier to put in/out.

Great bang for the buck

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Having never worn a Sugoi jersey before, I went by the sizing chart when I ordered...fortunately the jersey fits fairly true to size. I have a 38" chest (so I ordered a medium), and I will say that this jersey fits very snug, but not uncomfortably so. I probably could have ordered a size up and it still would have been more snug than a club-fit jersey. It does feel a bit funny while standing up, but feels great when in the riding position (which is fairly typical of many form-fit/race-fit jerseys).
This jersey is very comfortable and breathes well. The neck fabric is very comfortable even when the jersey is fully zipped, but I must say the the zipper itself is less than stellar...its a trick to get it started, and its smaller and flimsier than most jersey zippers I've dealt with. The waste band does a great job keeping the jersey snug around my waste, and also does surprisingly well at keeping the jersey from riding up over time (most jerseys fail at this).
Overall I give it 4 stars.
