Dimpled support.

Re-engineered with a three-way fabric design, the Sugoi Men's RS Pro Bib Shorts deliver the benefits of compressive fabrics, as well as unparalleled comfort of Sugoi's Formula FX chamois. .

Three strategically placed fabrics deliver maximum comfort, aero efficiency, and breathability for fast training rides and competitive use alike. The outer legs utilize Sugoi's Ultra Aero fabric that's dimpled for a slippery aerodynamic surface. Slimmed-down front panels leverage ultra-thin Tri-Force fabric for enhanced breathability and temperature regulation. Adding durability along the inner legs, the shorts' Firo fabric reinforces the chamois area for extra protection against saddle abrasion.

Designed to eliminate chafing and bulk, the integrated Formula FX Chamois is molded and welded for an excellent fit without an inseam — meaning there's no seam rubbing against the saddle. This pinnacle-level chamois features breathable perforations and a V-notch for extra ventilation on hot summer rides. Its 4-way stretch fabric and advanced lamination provide a smooth, seam-free surface that conforms to the body, while the welded center channel and high-density vibration dampening relieve pressure and fatigue from long, grueling rides. Moreover, you'll find the shorts' clean-finish leg grippers prevent the short from riding up or bunching.

Look good, feel good

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Sugoi has always been my go-to short, but this is the first time for me with this newer model.

First impression: Good fit with the leg length being a little longer than previous models. I like the cut, and they feel great with every seam in the right place.

I found the shorts a bit slippy on my saddle, which I haven't experienced with any other short. Now that I've ridden with them about 10 times, it's improving (less slippy).

In comparison to the older style Formula FX shammy, these seem to be improved with no seams.
I don't know why another reviewer didn't like the leg grippers, they work fine for me.
Still comfortable near the end of a long ride.

Seam tore on first day

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really had a good feeling about these bibs after finishing a 32 mile ride. The pad was a bit firmer than the Pearl Izumi bibs that I had worn for years, which really seemed to manage the pain around my sit bones better. I was ready to order a second pair as soon as I got home until my wife said, "I can see your bare butt." One of the seams over the hip/cheek area had came apart ... first ride out, two hours of use. Anyway, loved the pad ...

Long term-don't hold up

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Bought two pair of these bibs last season. Initially impressed by fit and finish and really like the Formula FX chamois. Within 8-10 washings the decals began peeling. A few months later I noticed the seat contact area becoming shinny. Now after almost a year of use the seat contact area shows extreme wear. I use these in a six pair rotation so they are used only 2-3 times per month. Wash in cold water and air dry. I've got Giordana Silverline and Castelli Free Aero that are twice as old and still look like new. Can't recommend.

First time with SUGOi

Only a 4 because of the silicone grippers on the legs, i just don't like them...wouldn't matter what bibs they were on. Everything else about these are great. had to go with an XL because they are cut to be snug. 5'10" 175, XL.
