Description

Winter, spring, summer, or fall.

In its never-ending battle to make cycling a full-year sport, Sugoi has pulled out all the stops with its cold-weather HotShot Jersey. Worn by itself or as a base- or mid-layer, the HotShot comfortably adds 3 more months to your riding season.

The HotShot Jersey is made with Sugoi’s proprietary ZeroPlus cool-weather fabric. ZeroPlus fabric is made with advanced hollow fibers that create a warm climate and moving moisture quickly away from the skin to keep you dry and comfortable. The soft, brushed inner layer pulls moisture away from the skin to create a warm, dry micro-environment, while the outer layer has a tougher, abrasion-resistant face.

The HotShot’s construction makes it a very versatile cool-weather top. Flatlock seams throughout reduce chafing. The efficient Form Fit aids in moisture management and makes it easier to layer over the HotShot. Four-way mechanical stretch provides a full range of motion without snagging. The full front zip makes it easy to get it and get out as well as allowing for quick temperature adjustments. The three back pockets expand easily to create extra storage space, and the signature hem gripper keeps the jersey from climbing up the back during a ride. The zip-up collar can be worn up or down according to preference.

The Sugoi HotShot Jersey is available in sizes S-XXL and in three colors: Olympian with Gunmetal trim, Matador with Gunmetal trim, and Black with Gunmetal trim.

Understated quality

For not very much money, I think you get a lot of bang for your buck. This jersey has a nice fleece inner-lining that reduces any chafing with stuff that fits too tight. I do wish this has a zippered-pocket, but I don't have any trouble with the current setup especially for the price. Also, the material was really good at preventing wind chill (a significant issue here in Iowa) that has made early-spring riding much more feasible.

Great jersey at a great price.

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just got back from my first ride with this jersey; seems great for cool mornings or evening rides and actually works well even as the days are getting warmer and warmer (in California, at least). Nice fit for bigger guys like myself trying to lose weight and the fabric wicks moisture well. Keeps wind out, keeps you comfortably warm, and the sleeves and zipper can be manipulated easily while on the go to further regulate how warm you are. All in all, no complaints and it seems well made.
