Here's what others have to say...

Painfully stylish

The outer capri of this pant is fantastic. It is made of a stretchy fabric, and it's roomy without being overly baggy. It's a cute capri, and I like that it is functional without looking overly "bike-y."

Sizing runs a little bit on the small side, I'd say. I'm a size 8 or 10, and the large fit fine. I have a small waist and larger hips, and usually I have issues with gapping at the waist. The waist on these capris fit well, which was fortunate, because there's no tabs to adjust the waist, like on many other casual cycling bottoms I have. I'd say if you have a more apple-shaped figure, you should probably size up from your normal cycling bottoms.

My only complaint with the capri portion of this duo is that the side pockets use velcro to stay fastened. Velcro is deadly for all things lycra. So, you have to be careful when wearing lycra cycling gear with long sleeves or arm warmers, gloves, etc. Sugoi could have used snaps or zippers to avoid this issue.

The big problem is the liner short. Oh my. This short looks innocuous enough, but I'm now convinced it is the devil's liner. The liner shorts are connected to the outer capri via a ribbon, presumably to cut down on liner shiftiness while riding. I didn't want to cut the ribbon and swap the liners with my preferred liner shorts, so I've ridden in these capris with Sugoi's liners twice. On both occasions, I got massive saddle sores. I have been riding for years and have never gotten saddle sores with any other cycling bottoms, ever! One welt took two months to heal. For reference, I rode about 40 miles on each occasion.

I'm keeping these shorts because I do like the outer capri. It's so difficult to find a cute cycling bottom that fits me well, and I really do like the design of these. However, I plan on snipping out the liner shorts and tossing them in the trash.

Is the Chamois intended for long rides like the Sugoi knickers?

    Responded on

I like the Sugoi Formula FX Chamois the best. The Chamois that comes in the liner with the knicker is not great for long rides. Love the shell knicker. I'd wear a higher end short/chamois under the knicker shell.

Would these Sugoi Greta Capri pants be a good choice for cool/colder weather commuting? Say, 40 F (and up)? Or are they intended for warmer climes?

    Thumbs up.

These capri pants are very nice. The material is ultra lightweight and soft, and the style is becoming. Furthermore, I was surprised by the quality of the detachable liner short. Do NOT buy them if you prefer a relaxed fit in the thigh. Other than that...go for it.

Whello , is the short- linig removable?
