Love these cycling shorts-
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I rode 57 miles today and no bottom discomfort. I am buying Sugoi from now on> I have another longer short and they have lasted over a years use and I ride a min of 125 miles a week. Of coarse not wearing the same short but at least once a week
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I love these shorts! I bought two in hopes that they would be great and now I'm considering a third pair. Initial impressions were that the fabric was thick enough to wear solo and the elastic around the thigh snug enough to stay in place, but not too tight. The chamois is cushy enough to be comfortable on long rides, but thin enough to not make your lady parts look like....er...camel parts as some are wont to do. And to address the length. These shorts are short. Not obscene short, but for those of us vertically challenged folks they hit flatteringly mid-thigh vs the traditional above the knee. Size wise, I'm typically an athletic/muscular medium all the way around in ladies clothing , however, found the large to be perfect. The medium would have been too tight on my thighs.
Love these shorts!
LOVE THESE SHORTS
I own nine pairs of exactly the same shorts. Wouldn't wear anything else.
My new favorite shorts!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I absolutely love these shorts! They are fantastic! The padding is thick enough to where my behind still felt great even after 3 1/2 hours in the saddle. These are definitely Century Ride approved.
I really like the length of the inseam. I prefer my cycling shorts to hit me mid-thigh which this one does.
The material is thicker than some other shorts I have, so they are not see-through at all. I sometimes worry about the sheer factor on my shorts.
The chamois seemed a bit thick on my first ride, but after riding in them a few times, it seems to conform more to my body.
Here is the color and shape of the chamois for the Sugoi Evolution Women's Shorts
I was looking for some summer bike shorts that did not cover all the way to my knee. I am 5'2" and 115 lbs and these are a great shorter option. The chamois provides better padding than most others I have tried- very comfortable.
a bit too much padding
Though I loved the fit of these shorts around the waist, I felt the padding was a bit much for my liking. I generally do rides of 20-50 miles and I felt like I was wearing a large diaper. I did not try them out on the bike, however, but trying them on alone was enough to make me decide to return them.
Would be great in black
I ordered these in the gunmetal/black colorway & ended up returning for the regular evolution short in the black with pink. The gunmetal /black colorway had the gunmetal color over te back panels and just disn't look right on my body.
However, the shorts are Great. The pad is amazing in these, and the material has a rip stop-style appearance that acts like a compression short.
great thin shorts
I just got my second pair of these. Sugoi improved the Chamois this year. They are nice and thin for hot summer rides.
Do these shorts have the pad in them or...
Do these shorts have the pad in them or not? I can't stand typical bike shorts with the pads in them, and I can't tell from the description here if these include the chamois pad or not.
Women's RC Pro, is what the description says, now anyway.
