Tire Sealant

If tubeless is the new black, Stan's NoTubes Tire Sealant is a classic secret-agent tuxedo. Just pour some of this milky goo into your tubeless-compatible tires, pop them onto the bead, and spin 'em around to get an even coating that will protect you from leaks and punctures all the way up to 1/4in. It makes it safer and easier to run tubeless tires at low pressure, and can work with wheels designed to be run tubeless or wheels that have been converted to accommodate a tubeless setup. Sharp rocks, thorns, and broken glass won't ruin your ride anymore, and the ability to ride at lower pressures will increase grip when you're in slick terrain.

My favorite sealant

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is my favorite sealant. Cleans up easily, has yet to not seal a puncture, and is usually readily available at most bike shops if I need to grab a bottle to top up for some reason.

Terrific Product

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I put 5 ounces of this sealant in each tube. The only way I can get a flat is with a sidewall tire failure. Only if this happens will the sealant not prevent a flat. That can happen at any time, especially if you ride into a deep pothole. Any failure of the tube and this sealant will plug it. It makes no sense to ride with any back up tubes as long as I have sealant in my tubes. The sealant lasts about 5-6 months and I replace my Continental 4 Season tires and tubes every 2500 miles. After 2500 miles the tires are more prone to fail, especially on the sidewall areas. What is amazing to me is all of these experienced cyclist who ride without any knowledge of sealant. Make sure to get removable valve cores and load up your tubes with sealant. I go on 75 mile rides with no back up gear, no saddle pack because I trust this product. I had one flat in the past 3 years and it was due to a sidewall tire failure. That's 30k + miles with one flat.

Works great

Always have some of this on hand. Sealant dries out/gets nasty over time so, as a part of my monthly service, it's good to check the status of the sealant in my tires. Stan's, for me, is the only way to go.
