Iron Cross Pro Wheelset - Discontinued Decal

The Iron Cross Pro wheels were built on 6061 Aluminum rims and given a 24-hole front and 28-hole rear, with a two-cross spoke pattern. They used DT Swiss SuperComp spokes. This wheelset was designed exclusively for cyclocross and to provide a more stable platform, the rim was given a wider (20mm) internal width. They are compatible with most standard cyclocross tire widths, but you won't be able to use narrower road tires on these wider rims.

Designed only for use with disc brakes, the Pros were given the same 3.30Ti six-bolt front and rear hubs as the legendary Stans NoTubes 29er Race Gold Wheelset. This reduced the weight 110grams as compared to the Iron Cross Team Wheelset. In addition the hubs feature cartridge stainless steel bearings for long-lasting and smooth-rolling riding.

To cater to rider preference, the Pro Wheelset may be run with either tubed or tubeless tires. One layer of 21mm yellow tape and 35mm silver alloy valves were installed for tubeless use. Stans NoTubes wheelsets use Bead Socket technology which reduces the overall height of the rim and makes the inner rim the same size as the bead on the tire. The bead sits snug with the rim, there is no play. This allows a tire to take on a rounder shape, reducing pinch flats, which allows lower pressures to be run. Lower pressures for cyclocross make the bike smoother over rough terrain and reduce rebound when hitting rocks or roots.

The Stans NoTubes Iron Cross Pro Wheelset weighs in at 1400grams and has a recommended rider max weight of 170lbs. They are available in 700c diameter. A padded wheelbag is included.
