If you're a Luddite, then the standard QR that comes with Stan's light and lively wheels will work fine. On the other hand, if you're a technophile, then you'll want to pop for the 15mm Conversion for ZTR/3.30/3.30Ti Front Hub. Simply remove the standard QR end caps, install these units and you'll be riding on the stiffer 15QR standard in no time.

uh... not to good

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After installing the 15mm conversion to a set of stan's crest I've noticed a lot of play (aka wiggle) in the thru axle/hub parts. They also pop off easy and don't stay in place very well. The kind of small AL part that pops off and gets lost easy in the car. They also play/wiggle enough to scar your thru axle. I really like stan's wheels. Not so much the hubs, but the rims are nice and very underrated. Cheap too. The conversion kit doesn't work too well unless you do very mellow xc rides. If you do some rough stuff you'll notice a beating on your thru axle and the hub from the play. I would just buy a set of wheels from stans w/ the HD hub since there is no 9mm conversion necessary. Just straight 12mm or 15mm thru axle.

Reducing from 20mm hub (used to fit a 20mm axle)down to now fit a 15mm axle - is this the correct part for that? Thanks for the help.

They're included with the wheels

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Stan's ZTR Arch comes with the adaptor.
Easy to install, works good.

I bought these with the ZTR Rims

Waste of money, the rims come with the adapters, guess I should of asked before buying, my bad.

What more should I say. The conversion couldn't be easier

Easy way to convert

Going from 9mm to 15mm takes all of 5 min with these. It does take a good set of pliers or a vise to remove the 9mm caps to install these though.

Be sure that the gaskets on these are properly set or they will shred under normal riding.
