XG-1180 Cassette - 11-Speed

With the massive popularity of its revolutionary 1x11 drivetrain platform — which places just a single chainring up front for low weight and simplicity — SRAM wanted to bring the same performance and technology to a more friendly price point. To that end, the SRAM XG-1180 Cassette is a less expensive version of the wide-range 10-42t cassettes that accompany the top-shelf XX1 drivetrain and next-best X01 drivetrain. The cassette's three smallest cogs are individually CNC-machined out of billet steel and are installed alongside the other 8 cogs, which are pinned together as one piece (as opposed to the more expensive 1x11 cassettes, the 1195 and 1199, which are X-Dome cassettes that are machined from a single piece). The cassette comes only in a 10-42t size and is only compatible with SRAM XD (1x11) freehub bodies.
