X01 GXP Crankarms

The narrow Q-factor provided by SRAM's 11-speed components is often over shadowed by the forward-thinking technology in its groupsets. Case in point are SRAM's X01 GXP Crankarms. Yes, they borrow heavily from SRAM's XX1 technology, but with an improved ankle clearance, bearing durability, and crank construction, we still think that X01's Q-factor is worth noting.

It's a direct contributing factor to the carbon GXP Crankarms comfortably weighing in under 700 grams with an X-Sync chainring, while still remaining incredibly strong. The arms are mated to an aluminum spider for a lightweight system that doesn't require a finessing of parts in order to make an optimal single-ring setup. The highlight of this component, however, is the X-Sync chainring (available separately).

Given that ring size is highly preferential, we've decided to offer the arms without the chainring. But, when you decide on your ring of choice, we guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Designed for maximum chain control, each CNC-machined X-Sync tooth supports inner- and outer-chain links. The machining process results in a variable thickness from tooth-to-tooth, so the chain and chainring essentially lock together as you pedal. However, the locking of the two doesn't inhibit efficiency, and it eliminates the common ailments associated with a single ring.

The X01 GXP Crankarms use SRAM's Gutter Seal design to cut friction and to ensure a long lifespan. The arms are available in either a 170 or 175mm length and in the colors Red or Black. Please note that the X01 chainring is sold separately. It's also worth noting that these cranks require a 94mm BCD chainring, which means that they're compatible with the X01 X-SYNC 94 BCD chainring, but not a XX1 X-Sync chainring (which are 76 BCD). However, it is worth noting that, while X01 crankarms aren't compatible with XX1 chainrings, they are compatible with the rest of the XX1 groupset.
