SRAM X9 Front Derailleur - 2010 $0.00
Front derailleurs are extremely under appreciated.
The SRAM X.9 Front Derailleur is the perfect complement to the rest of your drivetrain. SRAM's EA (Exact Actuation) technology finds the perfect balance between cable tension, tight cog spacing and rear derailleur design, which results in confident, reliable shifting, even under load. The X9 also utilizes SRAM's X-Glide technology, which is designed to grab the outer chain link at any of four different positions on the cog to provide instantaneous shifts.
What community has to say
I bought this to replace an aging unit on the bike. Initially it was a little confusing to figure out which one to get, bottom or top pull, high or low clamp until I got my hands on one. The install was pretty basic getting it dialed in. Performance wise it's held up good, shifting is decent. Seems to be on par with most of Sram's X9 lineup.
Sram makes quality stuff and this derailleur is working perfect, as expected. Just choose high/low and bottom/top pull depending on your frame and you'll be set. If you don't want to spend extra $$ on X.O components, get this and you'll be happy
what s a difference betweet high and low...
what s a difference betweet high and low clamp ?
The difference is how compact the unit is. Some bikes do not have enough room to run a high clamp so they need a low clamp that is more compact and takes up less room. Notice the detailed pictures above and where the clamp is located. Hope that helps.
No problems yet
A bit finnicky to get set up, but once you have it dialed this thing can take some abuse without hurting its performance.
will this derailleur work with a 83mm...
will this derailleur work with a 83mm bottom bracket?
The max Chain line for this der. is 51mm. 83mm BB's have a chain line of 57.5mm. Your going to have to go with a Saint offering such as SHI0180.
Short answer - No.
