I’ve had these since the inception of etap. Yes the tabs are prone to breaking so be very careful installing. They are more expensive than they should be but the alternative china imitations are not recommended. Thank you Sram. I alway carry a couple of spares as they are very lightweight.

Battery Tab Breakage Issue

The struggle is REAL people! Both my battery tabs broke off so cause I'm cheap I use electrical tape to help secure them. I should send a photo of this to Shimano haha! Can't imagine SRAM is proud of the look of electrical tape on thousand dollar derailleurs, but apparently they don't mind as they offer no relief for defective batteries past two years. Not even an exchange and a redesign. Come on SRAM you can do better.
