Introducing the SRAM Maven Disc Brake, SRAM's most powerful brake to date designed for downhill riding, E-bike use, and aggressive enduro riding. The Maven Bronze Disc Brake features oversized pistons and pads to give next-level power. With 50% more power than SRAM Codes and a 32% reduction in lever force to achieve the same braking force, the Maven caliper is a must-have for hard-charging downhill riders. The Maven is a hybrid between the budget-friendly mineral oil SRAM DB8 brake and the most recent iteration of the premium SRAM Code, giving us a low maintenance, mineral oil brake that has massive power on delivery suitable for downhill riding. The Maven caliper is exceptionally thick and has a greater thermal mass than other SRAM calipers, meaning it resists excessive heat build-up and stays within an ideal operating temperature for longer optimal performance. The four-bolt design on the side of the caliper makes for a stiffer construction when under extreme braking forces, reducing power loss and making for a more solid feel. Stealth technology improves the lever construction and makes for a cleaner look with tidier cable routing, and a tool-free reach adjustment gives us an ergonomic fit.
