Got Sram? Got Centerlock?

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Running Sram disc brakes but have centerlock hubs? BOOM... problem solved. It does it's job but you will need lock rings.

Lighter. Prettier. Cooler?

As far as I can tell, SRAM makes no claimabout the heat dissipation abilities of the Centerline X versus the all-steel Centerline rotor. but I have to think that the aluminum spider of the Centrline x would do a slightly better job of pulling thermal energy away from the braking surface. At any rate, these come in 6-bolt or Centerlock, and have done great for me on the trail! They're the preferred choice with SRAM Guide, Level, and road disc brakes.

SRAM vs. Shimano is a classic debate. You can't go wrong with either one as far as brakes are concerned and how far tech in the biking industry has come.

I love the Centerline rotors on my Santa Cruz Hightower. Light, effective and pairs perfectly well with the GUIDE brakes. Don't overheat and are pretty quiet.

Running 180's in the front and rear and love the braking power.

Guaranteed to make you slower

These Centerline X rotors are pretty slick, the Aluminum carrier helps to dissipate heat more effectively and the centerline design offers more effective and quieter breaking than rotors of Avids past. Because this is a two piece design, SRAM states that they should not be used for Downhill applications, and because Trail bikes have evolved the way that they have, I would hesitate to put this on a bike with more than 130-150mm of wheel travel, but for any light trail bikes / XC machines, go for it.

Light and dependable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Centerline X rotors run smooth and cool, while still being durable. I used the Centerline X rotors on both road and Mtb with great success.

Light and dependable
