I'm looking at some serious upgrades to my drivetrain components, but from what I hear SRAM gruppos will shift by themselves due to frame flex with a heavier rider, at 6' 4" and 220 lbs I'm hoping this isn't true.

I'm 210 and have ridden over 5,000 miles on Force (C-Dale CAAD9) and 1,000 on Red (Giant TCR Advanced) - I ride hard and never had "self shifting" occur.

Agreeing with Peter here. I have been riding the Rival group for years and have never experienced anything like what you mentioning.
