Until you really need a good one, a cycling vest is something often dismissed by unknowing cyclists. Protecting your core, however, is critical to maintaining your comfort and focus on cold and/or windy and/or rainy rides, and we can think of few that do the job as well as the Sportful Ultra Light WS Vest.
The Ultra Light WS Vest employs a startling amount of technology for such an otherwise lightweight and simple piece of technical clothing. The entire front of the vest is made of triple-layer Gore Windstopper Active Shell, a weatherproof membrane developed to the most rigorous standards of impermeability to both wind and rain. The rear of the jacket is made of Sportful's own Aeroflow 3D material, a polyester material that boasts a dimpled structure designed to reduce drag off the rear of your body, where the most turbulence is generated. Inside, inserts of MicroDry 44 is incredibly soft and stretchable, making for an especially warm and comfortable vest that virtually disappears on your body thanks to its excellent range of motion. In back, you'll find three rear pockets so you don't have to dig underneath the vest to access cargo in your jersey pockets.
The Sportful Ultra Light WS Vest comes in three color schemes — Black, Black/white, and Black/fluo yellow — and in seven sizes, from X-Small to XXX-Large.
