Item # SPP0030

The Speedplay Zero Track Special is identical in every way to the standard Zero Stainless road pedal, but has an extra-stiff release tension for maximum security under massive torque. It was designed with beasts like Marty Nothstein in mind, and he used these pedals to earn US National Championship titles in the Match Sprint, Kilo, Olympic Sprint, and Keirin.

The Track Special has cornering clearance of 37 degrees. Available in Black with Gold end caps. They come with cleats (and mounting hardware) compatible with virtually every road shoe in the marketplace. Please note that the Track Special uses standard Zero cleats. The release force difference is a design feature of the pedal body itself. So you get the same adjustable float between 0-15 degrees.

Please Note: Due to manufacturer restrictions, we are unable to ship Speedplay products outside the United States.

Special enough

It feels like the release point for the special pedal and cleat is more abrupt once you twist your foot that far; whereas the zero feels somewhat more forgiving when releasing the cleat. Nothing can replace the security of a strap around the shoe, but this pedal comes close. No inadvertent releases yet.
