Plugging up tiny bicycle hole

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I lost the original plug when I greased the pedals. I applied too much pressure on the screw when I attempted to replace the original plug and it fell out. I replaced the plug with another one and that one fell out, too because when I applied the extra pressure to the plug I created a little crevice on the side of the plug and the screw was not taut enough to hold the plug. I added a third plug and this time I used a little clear caulking gel, just a little (!), to hold the plug into place. Several rides later and the bicycle plug pedal is still in place!
