Skins RY400 Women's Long Compression Tights are intended to be worn post-workout to help your body do what it already does, except faster and more efficiently so you'll be able to stack your training days and get more out of each workout. They focus support for various muscle groups with tailored panels intended for specific compression of each part of your legs. For the large, highly vascularized muscles, like your quads, glutes, and hamstrings, the panels are cut to follow the origin and insertions of the muscles, with programmed stretch across the belly of the muscle to provide support without constricting the blood flow so important for muscle recovery and repair. Smaller muscles that have greater contraction length get panels with greater stretch accordingly.

The RY400 Tights will take your recovery to new levels. In comparison to their Sport level compression wear, the RY400 Tights are better than ever due to their intense 3D body mapping of some 2000+ athletes. The immense data from these 400 point anthropometric scans gave Skins the information to improve their compression garments for the ultimate recovery aid. Most notably, the women's fit has been optimized with recognition and sizing for differing body shapes. In addition, RY400 garments are gender specific. For women, there is a little extra support for the glutes and ITB due to natural musculature patterns compared to men.

Skins compression wear can reduce post-exercise muscle soreness, speed the removal of lactic acid, and improve body thermoregulation. Wearing for travel can also ease the swelling associated with airplane flight or long rides in the car. You can even sleep in them and wake up feeling fresh.

The RY400 Compression Tights use MemoryMX yarns in the waistband as well as the knee. In the waistband, they maintain a perfect, no-sag fit without binding, and at the knee, the memory yarns provide greater support for your ITB without causing undue pressure and friction in the tissue. The whole of the tights are designed to provide a slight compression gradient to facilitate blood movement in the lower limbs and towards the heart.

Skins uses a warp knit fabric that won't run if it gets snagged or ripped, and the garment is treated with an antimicrobial finish to eliminate the threat of synthetic stink. The fabric also wicks moisture from your skin, so you'll always feel cool and fresh while you let skins help you recover after a hard workout. Another nice detail are the MX Polymer Heatseal hems on the ankle cuffs. They are cut with an anatomic shape, so once you slide into the tights, they fit like, well, a second skin. And the waistband has a built-in pocket.

The Skins RY400 Women's Long Compression Tights are Black and come in five waist sizes from X-Small to X-Large and in what skins calls A or H shape. For reference, A shape fits those with a small waist in relation to the hip and thigh and H shape fits those with little variation in shape from waist to hip to thigh. Skins recommends a cold water, delicates cycle, machine wash with gentle detergent. Of course you may hand wash them. As always, the more care when washing, the longer an elastomeric garment will last and provide good service. No tumble drying.
