Item # SSO000K

One tough shirt.

Added protection is always a good thing, unfortunately most armor is designed with gravity riding in mind. Six Six One,on the other hand, have addressed riders that earn turns and push limits on the way down with the Long-Sleeve Sub Gear.

It's a top that puts wicking and compressive properties first so your core stays cool and dry. Then Six Six One gave the Sub Gear EVA and Intella-foam padding at the chest and shoulders to help reduce damage to your chest during a rag-doll wreck. Six Six One also thought of your riding partners --the Sub Gear has an anti-microbial treatment to prevent stinky shuttle runs.

The Six Six One Sub Gear comes in once color and sizes Small through X-Small through X-Large.

  • EVA and Intella-Foam padding
  • Polyester fabric
  • Antimicrobial treatment
  • Chest, shoulder, elbow, and forearm protection

Awesome for All-Mountain

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my secret weapon. Here you have elbow/forearm pads that actually stay in place, ALL THE TIME, plus shoulder protection that I have crash tested over and over and over. I can't even count how many times over the last four years this ultra-light shirt has saved my ass. I have two of them. I wear one while the other is being washed. After about three years, my first pair was a bit stretched out. Probably because I started putting it in the dryer. Bad move. Let it hang dry.

How thick is the padding? Compared to the Evo pressure suit?

Responded on

Considerably thinner, but it does the trick and is light-weight. For lift-served, I wear the Evo. For everything else, I wear the sub gear.
