With the Rhythm Knee Pads, Six Six One took a whole new direction in knee pad design. The Rhythm's unique design addresses body armor's two main problems: temperature and fit, while it adds extra protection and a compressive, fatigue-reducing fit.

The Rhythm is built around a breathable, compressive, stretch sleeve. There are a few advantages to this design. The first is that it keeps the pad in place so you don't have to make constant adjustments while you ride. Six Six One added a silicone screen print to make sure that the Rhythm stays put. The second is that the compressive material reduces vibration to alleviate stress and fatigue on your muscles. Attached to this sleeve is a lightweight, ventilated pad that protects you from above the knee to just below the shin. This is a much larger area than standard knee pads can cover, and the Rhythm's flexible construction and airflow-promoting ventilation make it quite a bit more comfortable, too.

The Six Six One Rhythm Knee Pads are available in Large and Medium and comes in Black with blue and white accents.

good for the money

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was able to pick these up on sale for $23 bucks. They are good for x-country and maybe some endoro. I would not use them for downhill. If you come off your bike it will give you a little padding and separate you from the ground, but not take a hard impact. When you first get them the pad is very flat and does not seem like it will form to your knee or leg. Wear them for about a half hour and it will conform to your knee. It stays that way after you take it off as well. If you are comparing this to the One Industries Exo knee/shin guard which is very similar. The Exo forms a bit better to your knee right off the bat. It has slightly thinner padding and is also a little softer which is not good for impact. overall, especially if you can get these on sale go with the Six Six one

These are great late summer fall sleeve style Knee pads. They act as a warmer on cold mornings and well as moderate protection at all times the gel ring on the top and bottom keeps them from slipping down and keeps them in place! Great 661 product ! also grab the sleeve style elbow guards!

Put these on for the descent

These knee pads pack down pretty well and fit in/on my pack for the ride up. I put them on for the ride down.

good for keeping dirt out of the wounds

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've worn these now on 2 to 3 rides and have had hard falls in small falls. they suck at preventing rash, cuts, and bruises. they are good for keeping bushes from scratching you and keeping dirt out of the wounds you still get. that's it. looking for tougher stuff now.
they do breathe well. and the large fit well. but keep my experiences in mind.
