Dominate comfortably.

Sidi's Dominator shoes have long been a favorite for their ability to handle just about any mix of grass, rock, mud, sand, and even tarmac, and the Dominator Fit Mega Shoes expand the model's appeal both figuratively and literally. Sized specifically for riders who wear wide shoes, the Dominator Mega has all of the features of its slimmer sibling with a more forgiving fit to accommodate higher insteps and wider metatarsals. Providing multiple fit options is not something we see offered very frequently in shoes of this level, but it's no surprise that the fit aficionados at Sidi saw a need to accommodate more cyclists with their shoes.

Sidi shapes the shoes' uppers with its relatively new microfiber microtech, a material that creates fewer toxic emissions during its construction for a smaller environmental impact than other synthetic materials. Despite the change in production method, it retains the combination of water-repellency, low weight, and durability that you'd expect from a Sidi shoe.

The perforations along the top of the shoe encourage airflow and breathability throughout the uppers, and the combination of two hook-and-loop straps and Sidi's classic ratcheting buckle give you the ability to make micro-adjustments across the sensitive areas along the top of your foot. Sidi's penchant for addressing fit minutiae shows through with the Soft Instep top strap, which adds cushioning and distributes pressure more evenly across the top of the instep.

As you pedal on-trail or off with the Dominators, the reinforced heel cup and the composite nylon MTB Competition Sole work together to encourage consistent power transfer from your legs to the pedals, carrying you through any mix of sand pits, smooth singletrack, or rock gardens without giving out. For the days when the terrain demands additional traction, the shoes have space for two toe spikes to give you some extra stability.

  • Wide cycling shoes alleviate cramping for bigger feet
  • Competition nylon sole efficiently transfers power
  • Aggressive tread pattern for sure-footed traction
  • Supple microfiber upper is abrasion and water-resistant
  • Caliper buckle system offers micro-adjustable fit
  • Sidi fuses Italian craftsmanship with functional design

Great shoes and even better customer ser

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 42.5 and 43

I ordered the 42.5 size and it proved to be too tight in the front, the cyclist representative was super helpful and sent me a pair of 43's that fit great!

Also, when they received my returned pair I got a prompt refund.

This is now my first goto site for all of the categories that they cover

Still the best

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 43.5

After riding the bottoms off my old SIDI Dominators a few years ago, I decided to "save some money" and try a few other brands of shoes. None came close to the Dominator. If you want a shoe to last season after season, spend the money. You won't regret it. There is a reason these have been around for so long, they are simply the best shoe you can mate to your pedals.

Materials feel great wide in toe box

  • Fit: Runs small

Materials and intial quality feel great. They have been very durable so far. Shoes have plenty of room in the toe box wish they were a little wider in the middle of the foot.

Are the cleats of the dominator softer like the dragons or spider model?
Thanks

The cleats on these shoes a very hard, Sidi built them to last, not for traction. I don't use them on rocky or wet trails.

The best "Wide" cycling shoe available.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 40.0

This is my second pair of the Sidi Mega Dominator. I replaced my old pair of 11 years and many times I glued the tread back down. You can not replace the tread (unlike the Drako version). Buckles and strap can be replaced. There is no break-in process. These are the only shoes I've found that can accommodate my wide(size EE) small foot and they are super comfy on and off the bike..

Sidi Dominator Mega

  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 41.5

Real nice quality. Wide is defintely wide! Unfortuantely, toe box HEIGHT wasn't roomy enough. Had to return. If width is critical, this shoe will do, but I also need a slightly higher volume in front of shoe. Found a competitors brand, but that wasn't wide enough. Go figure.
Sidi's 41.5 is about an 8.75 US in my opinion

Hands down the best

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Best shoes for cycling ever. They last forever and a day. They have replaceable buckles and parts if they ever do wear out. Simply the best shoe going. I put a ton of miles on them every year. They feel great out of the box and only get better with age.
