Sidi Dino Men's Bib Shorts $0.00
Free to breathe.
We're all aware of Sidi's exceptional cycling footwear, however, the clothing line its clothing line is just as detail-oriented. The new Dino collection was made as a collaboration with Castelli, using its top fabric technology to create some of the best-fitting clothing around. The new Sidi Dino Bib Shorts were designed with many of the same features that are found in Castelli's high-end collections, making them the perfect choice for all of your big days in the saddle.
The beauty and effectiveness of the Dino bib shorts comes from the targeted use of three main fabrics. First, Castelli developed what it calls an Action Micro fabric that's particularly durable. Accordingly, it was placed in the saddle contact regions, since those are the areas that get the most regular wear and tear. Energia Micro fabric was then used on the sides and back of the bib shorts in order to take advantage of its outstanding stretch and return. Meanwhile, Castelli's Breathe Micro fabric was used for the front of the shorts because, as its name indicates, it's been designed to let the fabric breathe. This helps to keep the legs from overheating when the sun is beating down on a hot day.
Castelli has taken care in making sure that these bib shorts will never feel stifling on a midsummer's day. Keeping your chest free from unnecessary fabric is priority, so you'll notice that the shape of the bib straps allows for a very wide opening on the front torso, dipping down to the waist. So, you won't feel hindered by the straps, and you'll really appreciate the open-air feeling on hot climbs in the mountains. And knowing how irritating inner thigh seams are, Castelli has eliminated them from the Dino. And what seams there are have been properly sewn to be unobtrusive as if there were no seams at all.
The legs have Castelli's Giro++ grippers — just like the Free Aero shorts. Pronounced "Giro Two" in Italy, or "Giro Due," this is a single-layer gripper that integrates gripping material into the fabric as the shorts are being made. So, you barely feel them, even though they hold firmly. Castelli has taken 43% Lycra content fibers and stitched them inside PowerLycra, which is 24-28% Lycra. As you stretch the material, the 43% fibers start to appear on the inside. Giro++ grippers are soft, yet there gripping prowess is unparalleled.
Castelli also chose to feature its Progetto X2 chamois. It's a three-layer stretch insert. The top layer is a soft and seamless bacteriostatic polyester fabric that wicks moisture away from your body. Underneath the top layer is a perforated viscous comfort pad that's located directly under the sit bones and the perineum in order to neutralize high pressure in those areas. The final layer has variable thicknesses. It's micro-thin at the edges and it increases in thickness en route to the thickest area, under your ischial tuberosities (sit bones).
The Sidi Dino Bib Shorts are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the color Black/white.
