So the weatherman was wrong. Get out and ride.

Even the heartiest of cyclists, those riders who never appear phased by a stormy forecast, like to stay dry. Owning the Showers Pass Men's Refuge Jacket means any excuse you make for staying indoors seems, well, wimpy.

The Elite 3-layer fabric used to construct the jacket is highly waterproof, and Elite's breathability means moisture is less likely to build inside as you work up a sweat. Two chest zips provide additional ventilation to help regulate core temperature as the weather changes. Fully taped seams add to its ability to withstand a downpour, as do the sealed AquaGuard Vislon zippers.

The Refuge jacket features adjustable cuffs, which are perfect for heavier cold weather gloves. A removable hood as well as a drop-down tail make this jacket not only ideal for cycling, but also versatile enough to be a shell for skiing or backpacking. A relaxed fit means layers are easily added, making this a great 3-season option.

A zippered chest pocket, full rear pocket, zippered rear media pocket, and light loop add to the already stellar features of this jacket.

The Showers Pass Men's Refuge Jacket is available in sizes Small to X-Large and in the colors Cayenne and Graphite.

Unanswered Question

I got a new fat bike and plan to ride through the Northern Minnesota winter... many days below zero. I am looking for a good jacket to battle all elements from fall through the spring. Bonus would be the functionality for the occaisional cross over to some downhill skiing. Would this jacket be a good fit?

Unanswered Question

How reflective is this jacket? Are the name on the front and on the tail the only reflective parts? Or is there more reflective tape/lines elsewhere? Also, is this appropriate for summer rain? Or is it too heavy/warm for a Southern storm?

Tested the jacket in every condition possible up Emigration Canyon back in December. This jacket is incredible.

Bomb Proof

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the jacket you wear when it's nastier than nasty, but you've still got to ride. You will not find a more waterproof, windproof, nastyproof jacket than this one.

There seems to be no amount of rain or wind that will penetrate this sturdy 3 layer construction. A removable hood and a drop down tail offer vital versatility and function for wet weather riding. Along with the absolute shear brute, weather-stopping function, a lineup of functionality awaits with myriad pockets, and adjust-ability. The type of pockets that are easy to use on the fly, as you change your layering system to match the changing conditions. There's also plenty of ventilation and fabric breath-ability, when your body temperature builds up an inner storm. This jacket reminded not of cycling specific gear, but more of backcountry skiing gear from a brand like Arc'teryx. Function, function, function matched with quality construction and a sleek looking design. It is that good!
