Description

These Shimano XTR Race (G01A) Resin Disc Brake Pads are what comes with your XTR Race disc brakes. The pad material is attached to aluminum backing plates that are as light as possible while still performing admirably. The Resin Pad compound offers better modulation, is quieter, and tends to squeal less than the Metallic Pads, although they tend to wear a bit quicker and don't have quite as much ultimate stopping power. One pair of pads equals one wheel. Buy two pairs to complete your bike.

The Shimano XTR Race (G01A) Resin Disc Brake Pads will work in both the Trail and Race versions of XTR985 brakes as well as fitting the following Shimano brakes: XTR-M975/966/965, Saint-M800, XT-M776/775/765, SLX-M665, Hone-M601, LX-M585, Deore-M545/535.

  • Lightweight aluminum backplate
  • Resin Pad compound offers excellent modulation with little noise
  • Fits XTR-M975/966/965, Saint-M800, XT-M776/775/765, SLX-M665, Hone-M601, LX-M585, Deore-M545/535
  • One pair of pads is enough for one caliper (buy two pairs to complete your bike)

Cheap and Quiet

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I won't lie, I bought these because they were the cheapest name-brand brake pads I could find for my SLX brakes and that's how I roll.

They don't have the cool-looking heat dissipating fins that the metallic brake pads that came on my bike had, but they were easy to install and work great after breaking them in. They're shockingly quiet compared to metallic pads.

They don't seem to have quite as much brute force stopping power as metal pads mashing down steep descents, but they feel a lot more supple. There's noticeably more control and feedback when I'm just feathering the brakes to scrub a little speed on a fast section of trail.

dear company

will SHIMANO XTR RACE (G01A) RESIN DISC BRAKE PADS

will fit the Shimano XT M785 Disc Brake?

thank you

eitan

No, those brakes take the F03C pads.

Quiet

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are very quiet compared to the metallic version. They wear quicker I find as well but for the price it doesn't matter, cause they are quiet. I get about 500 miles on them for a rear brake, so order a few if you ride lots.

Excellent pads for Shimano XT/XTR

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The resin pads work great, especially in the West where the riding is generally dry. You'll get a lot of miles out of these pads and they'll keep quiet while offering great stopping power. I've used them on XT and XTR calipers. Pick up a few extras so you have spares when you (or a buddy) really need them.

Good replacements for XT M785

    I have these brakes on my Tallboy;

The brakes came with these pads:

    http://www.backcountry.com/shimano-xtr-trail-disc-brake-metallic-pad?rr=t

At first I thought I bought the wrong pads, but these work just as well as the stock ones as far as I can tell and they are cheaper. Once you pull your old ones out, be sure to apply enough pressure to the caliper mechanisms to make them flush inside the caliper, otherwise you have to reinstall the pads. Keep your hardware (the locking pin) from your old pads as you may need them to install your new pads.

    Nice And Quiet!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pads are great and easy to change. I like the Resin pads much better then the metallic because of how much quieter they are. They do not last as long but are a little less money than the others, so it evens out. If you hate beak squeaky brakes get these.

I'm a little confused with the compatibility...

I'm a little confused with the compatibility of this product... it says it works with 985 as well as 775, which are shaped completely differently.

I need to know that these will fit my XT M785 brakes, which they appear to based on the picture, but they are not listed on the model list. Please confirm that these will fit.
