With roadies finally getting in on the hydraulic braking goods, Shimano released the ST-RS685 Hydraulic STI Levers for members of the Lycra set that are ready to reap the benefits of more effective stopping power with less effort. This Ultegra-level shifter comes crafted from lightweight alloy and shaped with the same sinuous contours as Dura-Ace 9000.


Featuring 10mm of reach adjustment, the levers comfortably accommodate a wide range of hand sizes, riding styles, and personal preferences. The combination of lever shape and disc brakes delivers clean, consistent modulation whether you're shaving speed on a descent or slamming the brakes to avoid a crash, and each shift lever throw results in a clean, effortless shift with the signature precision we expect from Ultegra.


The ST-RS685 Hydraulic Disc Brake and Lever is compatible with all of Shimano's 11-speed mechanical drivetrains, including Dura-Ace, Ultegra, and 105. Cables, housing, and hoses are included.
