shoes great but design error

My shoes came yesterday and they look and feel great. I have yet to use them. I could not open the flap underneath to attach the cleats. I took them into my gym and no one there could either. It is definitely a manufacturing design error. The flap should be cutout so it can open, but it is not. It was suggested that I will have to take a razor blad to it to open it. If that works and I use them I will post an updated review.

which cleat should i order to use these...

which cleat should i order to use these in my spin class?

Most spin bikes have shimano compatible pedals so these cleats would work great. http://www.realcyclist.com/shimano-sh56-spd-cleat-set

But I would check your spin bikes and make sure they are running the shimano style pedals.
