Quality carbon Shoe under $200?!

For the price, these shoes are tough to beat. I have been commuting to work in these shoes almost every day for over a year, and they still have miles to go. I weigh in around 180lbs. with a fairly strong kick, and I can't get these soles to flex (even when I'm out of the saddle).

Pros: Solid construction, sturdy sole, durable hardware, well ventilated, roomy toe box, COMFORTABLE even with wide feet!

Cons: The rubber grips at the toe/heel are small, not replaceable, and they wear out rather quickly if you walk on them. After about a month of use I noticed that the carbon around the base of the grips started to crack and delaminate. Contacted Shimano and they replaced the damaged pair. Unfortunately, the replacement pair did the same thing. It should be noted that this does not seem to impact the performance/integrity of the shoe, and the damage seems to be isolated around the toe/heel grips. Not much to be done, so I am not too worried about it. Still a great shoe, just something to consider if you are an anal-retentive cyclist.

    I wear a 10.5-11 US mens, 45 fits perfect.

    Solid stiff shoe

I've had these shoes for almost two years now, and for the most part they have been good to me. Ventilation is marvelous, straps and buckles are very adjustable, and the sole is stiff enough. Sure its not the lightest carbon shoe, but I'm mainly a track racer so it doesn't make much difference. Overall though, good stiff shoe to get you through the day.
