Wires, not cables.

The Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 7970 Front (upper) Wiring Harness, SM-EW79A extends from the Di2 Dual Control levers to "Junction A" then to a five-pin connector plug. Junction A is where the battery life indicator and system adjuster is located, and the five-pin connector is where the lower wiring harness meets the upper wiring harness.


The upper harness takes care of cabling your handlebars. It goes under the tape on road bars and can go through the bar on time trial handlebars. Each version of the upper wiring harness can have a set of satellite switches, SW-7971 plugged into them.


There are two options to choose from: the version for the road dual control levers and the version for time trial bars. There is one size for each. The kit also comes with two cable ties for securing Junction A to the brake cable housing and the tool for installing and removing the cable connections, TL-EW01.
