The folks at Serfas don't make bikes. They make everything else. For over 20 years, Serfas has been making all the accessories that make modern cycling possible. The menu covers shorts, shoes, saddles, tires, tools, pumps, helmets, sunglasses–the list goes on and on. Recently, Serfas made waves in the cycling community with the introduction of the massive TSL-1500 and TSL-1000 Headlights. The smaller of the two, the TSL-1000, packs a huge 1000-lumen wallop that gives you enough light to hammer singletrack like you would on a sunny day.

The Serfas TSL-1000 features three CREE LED bulbs that crank out an incredible 1000 lumens, even more in 'Overdrive' mode. Even at the highest setting, Serfas' Lithium Ion Fuel Cell delivers three hours of riding. Run times go up from there–depending on which mode you choose–to 23 hours in flash mode. Of course, all that power generates a good amount of heat, so Serfas developed a RAM Air System to keep the bulbs cool. This cooling system increases brightness and extends the bulb's life. The included quick charger takes only 4 hours to charge from completely dead to full charge and features 'Smart Charger' overcharge protection to protect your battery from being damaged.

You can also feel good about the environmental impact (or lack thereof) of the Serfas TSL-1000. All of Serfas' lights are RoHS compliant. RoHS is a directive that restricts the use of six hazardous materials during the manufacture of electronics. This compliance isn't mandatory in the US, but Serfas has chosen to comply for over four years because, as the folks from Serfas say, it's the right thing to do.

The TSL-1000 comes with a handlebar mount, and a helmet mount to provide the option of putting the light exactly where you need it. The extra long extension cable makes it easy to to mount the battery to your frame, under your saddle, or even in your backpack. The wall charger is also included, as well as the three-compartment transport pouch.
