The X1 Plus is built with sturdy, wallet-friendly aluminum rails, and rather than worrying about adding a few extra grams, Selle Italia chose to ensure the X1 would be comfortable over miles spent on uneven terrain by adding extra padding around the widest point of the saddle, which measures on the narrower side at 135mm.
