All-around style.

Whether you're testing the trail waters for the first time, replacing a well-worn pair of kicks after a long season of racing, or looking to throw down in a local cyclocross race, the Scott Men's MTB Pro Shoes deliver all-around durability and comfort in a wallet friendly package. These shoes feature a stiff nylon and fiberglass sole and adjustable fit options to keep your feet comfortable through the longest, toughest trails.

Scott fashions the MTB Pro's upper from a mix of microfiber and 3D nylon over its Wrap Fit construction, which is essentially an internal layer of synthetic leather that provides extra support while conforming to your foot to reduce pressure points and increase comfort. A ratchet buckle spans the top of the shoe and two hook-and-loop straps across the midfoot secure the fit and make for easy adjustments on the fly. Inside you'll find Scott's Adjustable ErgoLogic removable insole with a customizable arch for additional support tweaks.

Underfoot, Scott incorporates a lugged, X Traction outsole for grip during hike-a-bike situations. Threading for two toe spikes on each shoe provides options for additional traction for easier navigation of muddy trails or steep inclines.

I were a 10.5 and I have both the 10 and 11 here to decide on one to send back. Do any of the current owners of these shoes think they stretch in time? The 10's are just a on the tight side, the 11's are way to roomy for me.

Adam, they definitely stretch as you ride. Have to re tighten the boa couple of times per ride. Don't know if that REALLY answers your question abou the actual size or not, but for what it's worth...

Great all rounder

I bought these as a back up to the more XC/rigid Scott MTB premium shoes for trips to Moab/Fruita and technical places where you are likely to have to walk. At first, the flexibility turned me off a bit since I am used to XC style footwear, so they sat in my bag until i forgot my "regular" shoes one day. After a long ride I can say the toe flex is not really an issue, although it is noticeable on longer rides. Part of that is due to using a fairly small pedal (Crank Bros Candy) and part just because I am used to carbon soled race shoes. I do like the shoe very much though, and could be my only/go to shoe if i were to switch to the Crank Brothers mallet E, which would provide more platform and less "reverse flex". The one thing that I don't really get is the higher medial side which I guess is ostensibly for ankle protection? Guess I am not rad enough to need it, and while it is not noticeable when riding, it seems to not add anything either.

How does the ErgoLogic removeable insole adjust? I tried a pair on at the Backcountry showroom and could not see additional arch supports in the box (were they missing?). Does the arch support just mold to your feet? Also there's no information that I could see on the Scott website.

The only "adjustment" is that the metatarsal button is removable. It is stuck with Velcro and can be taken out...
