Item # SCO00DI

Road companion.

Protect your head on the roads without putting too big of a dent in your new bike fund with the Scott ARX Helmet. With trickle-down technology from Scott's pro-level helmets and a sleek, road-worthy design, the ARX is a dependable way to stay safe whether you're racing in a pack or pedaling solo.

Scott starts with In-Mold construction, now an industry standard, which involves fusing an outer, polycarbonate shell to an inner layer of protective EPS foam to create a lightweight, durable barrier against impacts. As an everyday helmet, the ARX uses ample venting to keep you from overheating on warm rides, and Scott includes its top-end Micro Rotary Adjustment System (MRAS2) for hassle-free fit adjustments before your ride or from the saddle with the spin of a dial.

This helmet gives great value for money. Though obviously subjective, I think that this is a great-looking helmet, especially when compared to others at this price point. I really enjoy the ventilation on this helmet, and the white color as a nice subtle metallic flake to it that doesn't really show in pictures. The helmet feels light on my head, and the fit is good and secure on my round-ish head. Would buy again without hesitation.

Bang for your buck

Great helmet.. It is my third helmet and by far my favorite. First.. it looks really stellar. Never liked the looks of helmets but this wasn't half bad at all. it feels really really good on the head and i hardly notice it after long rides. i love that you can adjust where the two straps connect below the ears so it is a perfect fit. The dial system on the back to adjust the tightness is great. For the money you cannot go wrong with this helmet at all.

No, it's not too good to be true.

Full disclosure: I'm an XC racer. I was very hesitant to even consider this helmet after my Lazer was destroyed in a crash. I loved the way it looked, it was respectably light, and it fit very well. But, it was literally less than half as much as any of the big names in the world of helmets (Octal, Synthe, Z1, Overtake, etc.) Surely, at this price, it would fall dramatically short of its competition. Nope. I've been more than happy with the ARX. Don't get me wrong, it's very simple. Not many bells and whistles or special space age features found their way into the ARX. But take my word for it, this helmet looksPRO, and it does it for $100.
