Description

For maximum, nuke-proof protection, a full-blown hard case is usually the safest option for your bike. However, such a case is rarely practical as a means of transporting your bike when you travel. Hard cases are difficult to fit in any car smaller than an SUV, and they're awkward to transport in and out of hotels and airports because of their size and weight. The Sci'Con Aero Comfort Plus 2.0 Travel Case is the only non-hard shell case made that offers a decent level of protection for your bike without making your luggage outweigh a Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The Aero Comfort Plus is made from a sponge-padded Nylon 840 with Sci'Con's ISS (Inside Stabilizer System) alloy anti-shock structure and a fork block. All you'll need to do is remove your wheels, mount your dropouts to the ISS frame, zip the self-healing zippers around the case, and you're done. The Aero Comfort Plus has 40mm wheels at the bottom of the bag, plus a shoulder strap for ease of mobility. The case also includes TSA-certified locks to ensure your precious cargo goes untampered with as it travels through an airport terminal or waits for race day in the back of your team van.

For those of you intending to travel with a bike that has an integrated seat mast, this is one of the few travel cases that we know of that will accommodate a tall seat mast. For example, we recently carried a Wilier Cento Uno SL that was cut to result in a 79cm BB center to top of saddle measurement. It fit nicely in the Aero Comfort Case. The dimensions of the bag are as follows: Length 46.5in x Depth 9.8in x Height 35.4in.

I have a Small Orbea Ordu TT bike (2014). Will this fit in the bag? My concern is about the aerobars...will I need to flip them or can they remain as is. Also, my seat post is integrated. Will that be a problem?
Thank you.

That should fit just fine, you may need to remove the bars to get it in the case properly. You can email me at SNutley@backcountry.com or call me at 888-276-7130 ext 4390

Will this accommodate a 64cm Trek Madone?

Hey Travis,

This will accommodate a 61cm trek madone just fine. You'll of course need to remove your wheels, and because of the large size you'll also want to remove or lower your seatpost.

If you have any questions/issues or if you want to place a new order, I will be happy to help you out. I am in the office Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday & Sunday 10am-6pm MST; you can request me on chat, or reach me by phone at 1.888.276.7130 ext 4579 during those hours.

Can you fit a 29er mountain bike in it?

Can you fit a 29er mountain bike in it?

Responded on

A 29er should fit in this case without issue. Removing the seatpost will allow for plenty of top end clearance.

You'd be better getting the MTB version

Fantastic

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've used it a few times and it seems fantastic only lock that comes the break at some airports, preferable not to use lock.
