Every winter, you head out to ride swathed in warm layers. That is, everywhere except for your feet, and of course, every winter you curse yourself for this. This year, with Santini's Winter Overshoes, you're finally able to say goodbye to cold feet, and to stay a few steps ahead of the cold.
Winter shoe covers often fit like large, baggie sacks over your cleats, and as a result, cold air seeps in through the gaps. Santini's Winter Overshoes, however, were sewn from its Tour Thermofleece fabric in order to prevent this. Basically, this material is a highly-flexible, thermal fabric that pulls on easily and conforms to the curves of your shoes. In other words, there are no gaps between your shoes and the fabric. Additionally, the covers received an Acqua Zero treatment that creates a water-resistant finish at the surface. So, you won't have to worry about your shoe covers being soaked through from wheel-spray.
The design of the overshoes reflects its fit — streamlined and minimal. They feature a pull-on styling, which means that you won't have to fumble with zipper tabs or hook-and-loop closures while wearing gloves. It also means that there are no cracks for cold air to pass through. Additionally, the soles are cut out for your cleats, as well as your heel, which minimizes tentative strides off the bike.
Reflective piping and a reflective Santini logo increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.
The Santini Winter Overshoes are available in the sizes X-Small/Small, Medium/Large, and X-Large/XX-Large and in the colors Black, Royal, and White. Please note that these overshoes were designed for use with standard three-hole road cleats.
