The hottest summer days are almost as tough on your training as the coldest winter ones, though sometimes it's easier to add layers than to strip down. Santini's Dragon Jersey is an ultra-lightweight defense between your skin and the blazing fireball in the sky.
Because riding around naked in the heat of summer isn't wise, Santini constructed the entire Dragon from its aptly named Dragon weave material. This is a highly breathable fabric with a waffle-like texture. The waffling effectively creates a larger surface area so that when perspiration is pulled to the surface, it spreads out and quickly evaporates. The texture also allows air to flow between your skin and the jersey to aid in ventilation. And if it's still too steamy, Santini included a full-length zipper so that you're able to self-adjust airflow.
The Dragon jersey is cut with a form fit, which is aided by the elastane contained within the fabric. It is elongated slightly in the back and features a silicone elastic gripper at the waist to provide an optimal fit while riding in the tuck position. Three back pockets hold all of your riding gear for long forays into the summer heat. The Lycra arm cuffs hold the sleeves in place without the pinching of thin elastic, and they may be up-turned to reveal the words: testa.gambe.cuore (mind.legs.heart).
