Inspired airflow.

On the best of days, cycling outerwear is designed to keep warmth in by helping excess sweat and moisture evaporate through a porous shell. And taking this principle one step further, Santini drew inspiration from the airflow demands of sports cars. As a result, its Active Air Long Sleeve Jersey was designed to increase airflow to the body, keeping warm, dry, and comfortable.

Constructed from the stretchable Thermo Fleece DB050 fabric, the Air Active jersey features a lightweight composition that's perfect for both fall and spring temperatures. This shell features a thermofleece lining that wicks moisture away from your skin, transporting it towards the surface for rapid evaporation. And knowing that remaining dry is key to warmth, Santini enhanced the breathability of the Active Air jersey. Additionally, Santini included a series of overlapping elastic fabric bands that cover breathable mesh at the rear back upper-flanks of the jacket. Unlike one-dimensional panels of mesh that air rushes right over, these flaps function in a similar manner to intakes on sports cars that move air into the engine. Another analogy is to the gills of a fish. And because they're designed to work in conjunction with body movement, you'll feel enhanced airflow no matter how hard you're riding.

The jacket features raglan sleeves for increased shoulder flexibility, while also possessing articulated arms for comfort while in riding position. Knit cuffs fit cleanly under gloves, and the back tail has been elongated to keep you covered from wheel-spray. And to keep the fit in place, the hem features a silicone gripper pattern. The Active Air was finished with a full-length zipper, and three generous rear pockets to hold all of your riding essentials.

The Santini Active Air Long Sleeve Jersey is available in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large and in the colors Red, Turquoise, and Black.

Here's what others have to say...

Size up-up and you'll love it!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs small

This is an absolutely beautiful and well-fitting shirt. I followed others' advice and went up TWO sizes to an XXL (I'm 5'11" and 180). This fits an American body very well if you up-size.

The fabric weight is great when it's 40-55 degrees with the right underlayers and accessories.

Toooo small!

I am 6'2" 215 lbs. I wear an xxl in most jerseys, but this xxl will only fit my wife who is 5'7' and weighs about 125 lbs. What gives???

Typical Santini sizing. Santini is a real Italian company (in every way). They size very differently than in the USA. I know its a PITA to shop online for jerseys because you don't know if it will fit. But of you find the right size, Santini makes great gear (100% in Italy, family owned) and is one of the major suppliers to UCI Pro riders.

I'm 5'10" and 185 -I had to buy this long-sleeve jersey (really a light jacket for cool weather) in the XXL size. Love it! I wear it all the time in the Spring and Fall.

    Large is too small?!

    • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

Ordered a large. I'm 5'10" 175#. I could hardly get my arms in the sleeves. It gets 4 stars because the construction and fabric seem to be top-notch; it's Santini's sizing system that's questionable.

Hi guys. You often need to size-up 2 sizes with Santini jerseys (unless you are very slim). Indeed, it is very typical to size-up at least one size with many Italian cycling brands (e.g., Santini, De Marchi, Castelli). Hope this helps!

Size chart for this Jersey is wrong!

I am returning this jersey because the size that Santini published is not accurate. you need to order one or two sizes over to ensure a comfortable fit. The quality also leaves a lot to be desired. Very disappointed.

      Fantastic

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This is the real deal. All Santini clothing is designed and manufactured in Italy by Pietro Santini and family since 1965. I love Castelli too (and own a lot of it), but their clothing is usually made in Asia.

Application: Long-sleeve jersey for riding in 50-70* weather (depending upon your baselayer selection).

The quality and design of this Santini jersey is very impressive. An "active air" vent runs down the middle of the back vertically. Nice. Overall, the softshell material used here is of high quality and of medium thickness (almost like a light jacket). And the sewing is flawless. You just don't find this level of quality in most cycle clothing made in Asia.

Also, I love the design of the cuffs. These fit -perfectly- into my Castelli "lightness" full-finger gloves.

FIT: Size-up two sizes with this particular jersey unless you are really slim (then size-up +1). I'm 5'10" and 185. The XXL fit me perfect.
