Santini Active Air Men's Bib Tights $245.00
Stay dry to stay warm.
First and foremost, cycling tights are designed to keep your legs warm. And to accomplish this, both insulation and moisture management are obviously paramount. However, we're constantly surprised at just how not obvious this is to apparel designers. Not to worry, though, as Santini has recently drawn inspiration from the airflow demands of sports cars in its designs. As a result, its Active Air Bib Tights have been designed to increase airflow to the body for fast and effective evaporation.
Constructed from a double-layered thermofleece fabric called Warmsant the Air Active bib tights are appropriately deemed as a winter-weight layer. The exterior of the tights is windproof and water-resistant in order to keep cold air from zapping your body heat away. Meanwhile, these tights also feature a thermofleece lining that wicks moisture away from your skin, transporting it toward the surface for rapid evaporation. So, you'll remain dry and warm, even when you sweat through hard exertions.
The knees of the tights feature a series of overlapping elastic bands that cover a layer of breathable mesh. And unlike one-dimensional panels of mesh, where the air rushes right over them, these flaps function in a manner similar to the intake of sports cars, where air is purposefully moved towards the engine. Additionally, because they're designed to operate in conjunction with your body movement, you'll feel an enhanced level of airflow no matter how hard you're riding.
Santini used the GIT chamois to provide all-day riding comfort. This insert features multi-density padding with a gel core. Why? Well, because the gel absorbs shock and then returns to its initial shape after each use. This means that you'll experience a continuous level of support over the lifespan of the bib tights. Lastly, Santini incorporated a soft, seamless, and antimicrobial surface layer in order to prevent against chafing.
Cut from multiple panels, the tights are designed to move with you while pedaling. Wide straps hold securely on your shoulders and the mesh fabric aids in ventilation. A back pocket is capable of keeping your cell phone out of the elements, while reflective accents increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.
The Santini Active Air Bib Tights are available in the color Black and in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large.
