Juliana Superlight D XC Complete Bike

Simplicity is the name of the game with the Santa Cruz Juliana Superlight. Hence, the proven 100mm, single-pivot suspension design, and the durable D XC Complete Bike kit.

The single pivot suspension design offers bump compliance, excellent traction, and reliability, but most importantly, the lack of links and pivots helps to keep the frame weight low without sacrificing stiffness. This gives the fast-handling Superlight a perfect balance of stability and lively handling.

To further balance strength and weight, Santa Cruz uses hydroformed 6069 aluminum tubing to manipulate the front and rear triangles. Being the women's model, Santa Cruz factored in standover clearance for added comfort and security during dismounts. An asymmetrical swing arm stiffens up the rear triangle, and an added benefit of the raised driveside chainstay is that it keeps chain slap to a minimum.

Suspension duties are handled in the rear by a Fox Float CTD. It features adjustable preload and rebound, as well as three compression settings for Climb, Trail, and Descend. Up front, a RockShox Recon Silver 120 offers Turn Key lock out and rebound adjustments, and its 120mm of travel makes the Superlight great for XC and marathon/endurance racing.

The D XC build kit consists of a SRAM drivetrain with X5 for the cranks, shifters, and front derailleur, and an X7 for the rear derailleur. The Race Face Ride handlebar, stem, and seatpost are all sensible alloy bits, and are a nice foundation for the Lizard Skin grips and WTB Volt Sport saddle. Mavic XM 119 rims are laced to Shimano M525 hubs with DT spokes. Fast-rolling Maxxis Crossmark tires round out the wheel package, with Avid Elixir 1 brakes bringing it all to a stop.

The Santa Cruz Juliana Superlight D XC Complete Bike is available in the colors Powder Blue and Gloss White and in the sizes X-Small, Small, and Medium. The frame has a two year warranty against manufacturing defects, while the bearings are guaranteed for life.
