Salsa Stainless Suspension Flip-Off Skewers $0.00
It’s all about the details.
It's hard not to smile when seeing Salsa skewers. The original incarnation of Salsa was run by a guy who always found a way to make bike parts fun. The Salsa Stainless Suspension Flip-offs first came about when everyone else was "serious" about gram shaving. The original flip-offs were advertised as "Light. Functional. Expensive." It was a jibe at the "slow" releases some of the ultralight skewer sets really were. The levers came in a variety of anodized colors, including the mixed-color "Rasta" set. Nowadays, Salsa has progressive new owners, but the vibe is still there and the skewers are still great. The Rasta set still exists, too. The lever has a sculpted look that is both elegant and makes opening and closing the lever easy. Great colors, too. The rods on this set are stainless steel, not as light as titanium, but Salsa doesn't recommend using ti rods with suspension elements.

Bought these in 1998, looks like they haven't changed in over 10 years, and they are still going strong! They have the smoothest action of any skewer I've used and the finish has resisted fading very well, nor as any part of the skewer rusted. They are simply superb! BUY THEM.
Great looking skewers, but pricey
Great quality, look good and go well with the other red bits. Overpriced.
Spice up your ride with these!
Sure, you could go stock or generic OEM, but if you're gonna go new skewers, ya might as well go all the way. Sure, they're a few quid more than some "me too" replacement players, but if you want a piece of gear that not only excels in both form AND function, stop looking and buy now. Don't want bling or matchy-match? Hide behind silver and black and know you've got wheel security covered. Want both? Rock the killer ano colors and get all freaky with it! Looks as good on a high-zoot custom race rig as it does on your steel SS commuter!
Thumbs up when flipped-off
I had the choice to purchase this item off Huck N Roll or CBO. They were about the same price but I've had a good experience with HNR product and shipment so I went with them. Granted the skewers are a tad expensive, they're good quality, blingy, and they matched the red highlights on my bike. My second choice were the "Loaded" brand skewers for the price but they didn't have them in red. Would have given a 5 star rating but the item was a little pricey. Overally, very happy with the item and HNR.
The Gold Standard
Salsa skewers are the gold standard for aftermarket skewers. Not the lightest (at least the steel ones) but they are beautifully made and perform flawlessly. You really can't beat 'em.
