Royal Racing Esquire Shorts - Men's $119.95
Performance and comfort—perfectly blended.
The Esquire is Royal Racing's numero uno mountain bike short, and it has definitely earned its spot on top of the podium. The main body of the short is made up of four-way stretch , sweat-wicking synthetic fabric for all-summer comfort and great range of motion. Ample ventilation keeps the cool air flowing, and an adjustable waist ensures a perfect fit every time. To finish it off, Royal added a removable liner short with a chamois pad to take the edge off the hours of saddle time you'll accrue this summer.
The Esquire's removable chamois pulls moisture away from your skin to keep you dry and cool while offering some impact and vibration protection. Anyone who has spent three or four hours in the saddle knows the importance of both of these functions. Just as important, however, is the fact that the liner is removable. This means you can take off the liner and go straight to work, the pub, or wherever you need to go without having to wear your sweaty chamois. You can also wear the removable liner with other shorts to transform them into riding shorts.
The Esquire Short specializes in conforming to your particular dimensions. Hook-and-loop waist adjusters allow you to customize the waist size. Unlike most shorts with waist adjusters, the Esquire also has belt loops. A spandex lower-back stretch panel and four-way stretch construction eliminate that binding feeling you get once your range of motion has reached its max and adds durability because the shorts stretch rather than tear. Durable sublimated polyester resists diggers, while bar tacked stress points boost the Esquire's strength factor.
Zippered vents at the front and back of the short keep hot weather at bay. Two open hand pockets are perfect for stashing a pass, and a zippered stash pocket gives you a place to keep keys or electronics secure.
The Royal Racing Esquire Short comes in sizes X-Small through XX-Large and the color Graphite.
