You'll experience the same mechanical simplicity, ergonomic comfort, and shifting quality. Blindfolded you absolutely, positively cannot tell the difference between Force and Rival shifting. The only variance, in fact, is a simple one: Where Force uses a carbon brake lever and a magnesium shift lever, Rival is built with an aluminum brake lever and an aluminum shift lever. This adds a scant 30g to their overall weight, but it saves you over 50% in cost.
