The Dura-Ace 10-Speed chain is lighter than the 9-speed version by 24g. The rollers are the same width as the 9-speed to maintain strength and durability. The weight reduction and the improvement of the shifting was accomplished by minimizing the contour of the sideplates. When connecting the 10-speed chain, make sure the outer-link is positioned toward the crankset's rotating direction. In other words, when facing the driveside of your bike, the outer-link should be to the left of the inner-link when you connect the chain. If the chain needs to be shortened, always cut the excess from the inner-link side.
