Trivia is an amusing and sometimes surprising thing. Did you know that Selle Italia sponsors 11 ProTour teams? That's over half the ProTour. Hands down, the SLR is the saddle of choice for the riders on those teams. Why? It's perhaps the ultimate meeting ground of lightness and comfort. At 135g, it's breathtakingly light. This lightness is a byproduct of its 30% carbon composite shell and its "Titanium Tube" rails. Believe it or not, Selle Italia sources these rails in the good ol' USA. They're only 45g, and they have a slightly slimmer profile than the rails used on the Flite at 7mm in width and 7mm in height. Another contributing factor to its feathery weight is its EVA padding -- lighter than the "self-modeling" padding you find on the Flite series of saddles.

The SLR has a full-grain leather cover for superb longevity, regardless of your weight or the weather conditions you ride in. At 131mm wide and 275mm long, it’s just a hair wider and shorter than the Flite. Available in Black, Blue, Red, White, and Yellow.
