The SLR Kit Carbonio is the twin to the SLR in many vital respects: It's built on the same 30% carbon composite shell for lightness; it has the same EVA padding for comfort; and it has the same weather-resistant full-leather cover for longevity. The differences are twofold: For starters, instead of the Ti rails of the standard SLR, the Kit Carbonio is built on braided, long-fiber carbon rails to save weight (10g) and add a nice bit of visual appeal. Keep in mind, though, that Selle Italia says the SLR Kit Carbonio is fully capable of off-road use. In other words, the weight savings doesn't come at the cost of durability. Secondly, the Kit Carbonio has a carbon insert at the rearward portion of the saddle -- it's there for looks, not function, but it does look sweet. The SLR Kit Carbonio weighs in at 125g.
