2009 Fizik Microtex Bar Gel
The Fizik Microtex Bar Gel brings the sort of comfort and shock absorbency to your handlebars you probably thought you could only get by double-wrapping your bars with cork tape Paris-Roubaix-style. The tape itself is made from Microtex -- a waterproof, synthetic nylon microfiber material 20% lighter and more durable than leather (it's what Fizik uses on the cover of their legendary Aliante saddle). Beneath the supple Microtex bar tape you put custom-cut gel pads. It gives you extra cush where you need it, but without the bulkiness of a double-wrap job. And a well-written set of instructions ensures that you'll set it up right the first time. Black only.
