Identical in every way to the Record Ultra Torque Carbon Compact crankset with three basic differences: (1) Unlike the Ultra Hollow construction of the Record crank, the carbon fiber Chorus arms and spider aren't hollow. Rather, they're built around an uncompressible low-density material which resists the enormous molding pressures applied during the production process. The net weight increase over Record here is approximately 75g. (2) The Chorus Ultra Torque Compact crankset comes with Ultra-Drive EPS chainrings that do not have the anti-friction coating of the Record version. (3) They use slightly heavier steel (instead of alloy) chainring bolts.
The Chorus Compact crankset is built to be used with a Record Ultra Torque bottom bracket. It is available in 170mm, 172.5mm, and 175mm lengths, in a chainring ratio of 50/34.
