The 3T ARX Team stem is the perfect match for the 3T Rotundo Pro handlebar. And, like the Rotundo Pro, it's built to balance the competing factors in the equipment the pros really use: It needs to be light, it needs to be stiff, and it needs to be immensely durable. If Team CSC was a squad of weight weenies, they wouldn't be riding 3T. But they're not weight weenies, they're hardmen ne plus ultra. Their equipment needs to cope with huge miles in all weather, on all roads, plus crashes, plus a handful of trans-continental flights a year. The riders and the mechanics don't make sweet love to their equipment, they throttle the daylights out of it. Perhaps it's no surprise, then, that Arx is Latin for stronghold. Durability is its greatest quality.
The ARX Team is forged to give its aluminum grain structure optimal strength. The steerer and bar clamp are beefed up, but carefully designed, to minimize stress on your fork steerer tube and handlebar (whether they're carbon or not). The ARX Team passes the recently re-vamped, made-much-more-demanding DIN and CEN certification tests.
At 120g, the ARX Team weighs the same as a Deda Newton, and just a few grams more than a Deda Zero 100 Servizio Corse. 3T keeps it this light by outfitting the ARX Team with a titanium bolt package. It's available in 10mm increments between 90mm-130mm. It comes in a +/- 6° (aka 84°) and in a supremely Pro +/- 17° (aka 73°). The stack at the steerer is 40mm tall. It comes in a 31.8mm clamp size only.
