The Rapha bib shorts have been designed for total comfort. The starting point for any shorts is the chamois. Rapha uses the top of the range synthetic chamois from Nalini. It has a slim, body contour padding to support the sit bones, with Nalini's trademarked soft finish. It's seamless, ergonomic, and breathable. In the technical literature it's known as the "Protech" chamois. But in-house at Nalini they call it the "Petacchi" chamois, since Ale Jet himself was so instrumental to its development. The bib short itself is made of soft Italian mesh fabric and has a large cut away section to improve breathability around the mid and lower back. The matte black lycra used for the short panels is soft but very strong, with great four-way stretch. Flat lock stitching is used throughout with soft thread for extra comfort.
