Assos' premiere winter weather socks, made from a thick Merino wool blend. Merino wool comes from a breed of fine-wooled sheep that produces a fleece of exceptional quality. Merino fibers are fine and light making it ideal for year round wear, not just for wintertime riding. In warm temps Merino wool wicks away moisture (up to 30% of its weight) before it begins to feel damp. In cool temps, Merino provides unsurpassed warmth because it gives you an insulating layer of dry air next to your skin. Merino is great, too, because it breathes so well that it eliminates the buildup of unpleasant odors. Assos designed the winterPlus to ride well above the ankle, almost as high up your calf as a set of booties.
Assos recommends the use of the winterPlus in temps from 21 to 45 degrees. From 45 to 60 degrees Assos suggests their lighter construction earlyWinter socks. The winterPlus is available in two sizes, in Black only.
